Austin is the Assistant Director of the Humanities Center for Digital Humanities and a Visiting Assistant Professor in History. A medieval historian by training, he teaches courses on digital methods, digitally-inflected history courses, and collaborative courses in a number of departments that incorporate digital project work. For this project he has spearheaded the modeling of the Gressenhall workhouse and the integration of the model into an interactive environment in the Unity game engine.
