Hi, I’m Brittany Johnson. I’m from the Alexandria area in Minnesota, where I’ve lived my entire life. When I have the time, I like to sew and quilt, especially with paper/foundation piecing patterns. I’m a historian on Team Workhouse currently handling some of the farming journals and written accounts we have access to. Last summer, I went with Elizabeth Budd to Gressenhall to participate in some archaeology and research on site. It was an amazing experience to be able to physically interact with the digital models and written information we’ve been using. I love our work because it allows us to engage with underrepresented voices of history in tangible and meaningful ways.
